Privacy Policy

Phersona is operated by Aira Technologies Limited, a company registered in New Zealand (referred to in this policy as "Phersona", "we", "us" or "our"). We are the agency responsible for your personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, the data controller.

This policy covers the prelaunch website at phersona.ai: the marketing page, the waitlist and the anonymous survey. When the Phersona product launches, use of the product will be covered by its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect:

• your name and email address;
• the domain of your email address (derived from the address itself);
• the marketing channel that referred you (a UTM tag, where present);
• your approximate country, estimated from your network connection at our hosting provider's edge (we do not store your IP address in our records);
• the date and time you signed up, and your email preferences.

When you take the survey, your responses are anonymous. We collect only the answer choices you select, the referring channel (UTM tag), your approximate country and the times the survey was started and completed. We do not collect your name, email address or any free-text input, and survey responses are not linked to waitlist entries. If you start the survey but do not finish, we keep the partial response as an anonymous drop-off signal.

Automatically, when you browse the site:

• Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, which set cookies and collect information such as your device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site and approximate location, so we can understand how the site is used.
• Security and hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes connection data (including IP addresses) in transient logs to deliver and secure the site. Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyses device and network signals to distinguish people from bots.
• Content delivery. Some scripts are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN, which sees your IP address when your browser requests the files. Fonts are served from our own site.

How we use your information

• to operate the waitlist: confirm your signup and send you updates, launch news and marketing about Phersona (with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time);
• to provide any early-access or launch-day benefits offered to waitlist members;
• to measure, in aggregate, which channels bring people to the site (our legitimate interest in effective marketing);
• to learn from anonymous survey responses what people want from AI agents, and to shape and promote the product (our legitimate interest in product research);
• to keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse (our legitimate interest in protecting our services);
• to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Third-party services we use

We do not share your personal information with anyone for their own use. Like most websites, we rely on a small number of web services (Cloudflare, Neon, Resend and Google) for hosting, data storage, email delivery, security and analytics. They process data only on our instructions, under contracts that restrict what they can do with it.

Beyond that, we would disclose personal information only to our professional advisers, to authorities where the law requires it, or to a successor entity if our business is reorganised or sold (in which case this policy will continue to apply to it).

Where your information is stored

We are based in New Zealand and the information you give us is stored in the Asia Pacific region. Some of the services that deliver and secure the site, send our emails and provide analytics operate globally, so limited data may also be processed in other jurisdictions. Wherever your information is processed, we rely on providers that are subject to comparable safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent contractual protections, as required by the Privacy Act 2020 and the GDPR.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist entries are kept for as long as we send news and marketing about Phersona, meaning until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, whichever comes first. If you become a Phersona user, your details are carried into your account records under the product privacy policy. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal suppression record so we do not email you again.
• Survey responses are anonymous and may be retained indefinitely as research data, as they cannot be traced back to you.
• Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention settings and Google's policies.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us for access to and correction of the personal information we hold about you. If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you also have rights to erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any right, email hello@phersona.ai and we will respond within the timeframes the applicable law sets. One limitation: survey responses are anonymous, so we cannot identify which response is yours in order to retrieve or delete it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz) or, in the EEA/UK, to your local supervisory authority.

Email choices

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time and we will remove you from the waitlist.

Cookies

The cookies on this site are set by Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for the measurement purposes described above; the site itself also stores your theme preference locally in your browser (which never leaves your device). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. The site remains fully usable without cookies.

Security

All traffic to the site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), access to stored data is restricted, and we use reputable providers with strong security practices. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Children

The site and waitlist are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete the entry.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above shows the latest version. If we make a material change to how we handle waitlist information, we will notify waitlist members by email.
